Overview:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) helps to fulfill the bedside care requirements of our patients and for all age groups. Under the directions of the Nurse Manager and Registered Nurse (RN), the LPN will work within their entire scope of practice. The LPN will be fully accountable for ensuring that the utmost in competent care and safety is consistently delivered to all patients. In addition, the LPN is responsible for assisting registered nurses in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care for patients in accordance with the plan of care. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
- Experience: New Graduate LPN’s are eligible for this position
- Licensure: Current Oklahoma licensure to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) required.
- Required Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing.
- Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Preferred Experience:At least (1) year of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Preferred Certifications:ACLS, PALS and NRP certification must be obtained prior to working in areas that require applicable certification. All certifications must be maintained in a current status.
